Event photo booth hire
Asian Wedding Photo Booth Hire
Asian weddings run on a different scale: guest lists in the hundreds, several events across a week and a stage programme that everything else fits around. Boothdrop Entertainment provides Asian wedding photo booth hire built for that scale, with enclosed options for privacy, bilingual print templates and an attendant who keeps the queue moving.

Keeping up with 300 to 800 guests
Throughput is the first thing we talk about on an Asian wedding enquiry. With 500 guests at a reception, a booth that dawdles over every group would see only a fraction of them in a four-hour hire. Our attendant runs the booth with that in mind, keeping groups moving, resetting between sessions and managing the queue so it never blocks the aisle to the stage. Larger booths such as the Inflatable Booth take up to ten people at a time, which makes a real difference to how many families leave with a print.
Prints for each guest in the group, rather than one copy to argue over, stop people re-queuing for a second go. For the very largest weddings we will talk you through whether a longer hire that opens at the arrival drinks and runs past the dessert course makes more sense than trying to squeeze everything into the evening.
One booth, or one for every event
Mehndi, sangeet, nikah, baraat, walima, reception: each has a different feel and a different crowd. A mehndi night suits a colourful enclosed booth with bright props; a walima or reception usually calls for something elegant and open, such as the Magic Mirror beside the stage. You can book a single event or several across the week, and we match the booth and the template to each one so the mehndi prints look nothing like the reception prints.
Ask us to quote for one night or for the whole run of events. We set out each date separately so the family can see exactly what is booked for which evening, and the same person stays your point of contact from the first enquiry to the final pack-down.
Privacy, modesty and ladies-only sessions
Where modesty matters, an enclosed booth lets guests take photos without being seen from the hall. The Party Booth is fully enclosed with a curtain and fits up to eight people. The Inflatable Booth is larger, takes up to ten, and can be fitted with a curtain so the entrance is covered. Both can be positioned so the opening faces away from the main room.
For segregated events we can run separate ladies-only slots, with the attendant stepping back and photos kept off any shared screen. A female attendant is available on request, subject to availability on your date, so please mention it when you first enquire. Email and social sharing can be switched off for a particular event so no image leaves the booth without the family's say-so.
Templates in two languages, or with a monogram
Print templates are included and designed to your brief. Many families ask for the couple's names in English alongside Urdu, Punjabi, Gujarati, Hindi, Bengali or Arabic script, or a line of text in each language. Others prefer a single monogram taken from the invitation suite, with the date and the name of the event beneath it. Send us your invitation or any artwork from your stationery designer and we will return a proof to approve before the day.
- Bilingual names or a blessing in two scripts
- Couple's monogram lifted from the invitation
- Colours matched to the stage decor or the mehndi theme
- A different template for each event in the week
- Logo or hashtag added to every digital copy
Fitting around the stage, the videographer and the food
Asian weddings have a programme: the couple's entrance, the stage photographs, the speeches, the cake, the food served in sittings. We do not open the booth during the entrance or the speeches, because that pulls attention and bodies away from the stage. Instead, we agree a plan with your planner or the family so the booth is busiest during the meal sittings and once the dance floor opens.
On arrival we also check in with the videographer and photographer. They will have a lighting plan for the stage and a route through the room, and the booth should sit in neither. Our LED lighting is self-contained, so it will not spill onto their shots, and we keep the queue out of their walkway.
Banqueting suite logistics
Most of the Asian weddings we attend are held in large banqueting suites and purpose-built halls of the kind found around Slough, Luton, west London and Leicester. These venues are used to suppliers and usually have a loading entrance, plenty of sockets and a wide floor, but they are busy on the day. We confirm the load-in time with the venue manager, bring our own extension leads and set up before doors open so nothing is being built while guests arrive.
The Inflatable Booth needs a floor area of around 4m by 4m with 3m of clear height and two sockets. The slimmer pods manage with 1.5m by 2m and one socket. Tell us the room and we will suggest the booth that fits it.
Our recommendations, what is included and how to book
For the reception we usually suggest the Magic Mirror or the Inflatable Booth, and for mehndi and sangeet nights the Party Booth or the Inflatable with its glow matched to the decor. The 360 Booth is popular with younger guests for slow-motion video set to music; we confirm its space requirements for your venue at quote stage.
Every booking includes a professional attendant, free delivery, setup and pack-down, unlimited sessions, props, a guest book on print booths, your custom template, digital copies with email sharing and full public liability insurance. Packages start from £299, an £80 deposit holds the date and the balance is due one month before the event. We answer enquiries within 24 hours and cover London, the Home Counties, the South East, the East of England and the Midlands.

Asian Weddings Photo Booth FAQs
How many guests can the booth get through in an evening?
It depends on the booth, the group sizes and how the evening is timed. Bigger booths such as the Inflatable Booth take up to ten people a session, prints for each guest stop people re-queuing, and our attendant keeps things moving. For 500 guests or more, a longer hire that opens during the meal sittings is usually the answer.
Can you provide a female attendant?
A female attendant is available on request, subject to availability on your date. Please ask when you first enquire so we can confirm before you pay the deposit. For segregated events we can also run ladies-only slots with the attendant stepping back and no images shown on a shared screen.
Can the template include text in Urdu, Punjabi, Gujarati or Arabic?
Yes. Send us the wording in the script you want, or the artwork from your invitation, and we will set it alongside the English on the print and the digital copies. Many families choose a monogram from their stationery instead, with the date and event name beneath it. You approve a proof before the day.
Do you cover mehndi and sangeet nights as well as the reception?
We cover every event in the week: mehndi, sangeet, nikah, baraat, walima and reception. Book one night or several, and we will match the booth and the template to each. A bright enclosed booth suits a mehndi, while the Magic Mirror or Inflatable Booth works well in a reception hall.
Will the booth get in the way of the stage or the videographer?
No. We position the booth away from the stage and the videographer's route, keep the queue out of the walkway and only open once the entrance and speeches are done. Our lighting is self-contained and will not spill onto the stage. We agree the timings with your planner or the family beforehand.
Can guests' photos be kept private?
Yes. Email and social sharing can be switched off for any event so images only leave the booth as prints, and nothing is displayed on a shared screen. The full set is handed to the family afterwards on USB. Enclosed booths such as the Party Booth also stop guests being seen from the hall while they pose.
