Access and power: what we check before the day

Surrey Hills venues can involve narrow lanes, steep approaches and long gravel drives, so we confirm the route and the unloading point with the venue and allow extra time to get the equipment inside on trolleys. Country houses sometimes place the function room up a flight of stairs; that is fine with notice, and a lift is helpful where one exists. Golf clubs and hotels usually have straightforward ground-floor access and a car park close to the entrance.

We need about 45 to 60 minutes to set up before the hire window opens, and that time is not charged as hire time. Every booth apart from the Inflatable Booth runs from a single standard socket. For marquee weddings on a lawn, a reliable 13A supply is a must, and if a generator is involved we ask the marquee company to confirm it will carry the booth alongside the lighting and catering load.
