Where we travel in Oxfordshire

Oxford itself is our busiest spot in the county, and it has its own page covering college access and city-centre parking in more detail. Beyond the city we regularly set up in Banbury, Bicester, Kidlington, Witney, Abingdon, Didcot, Wantage, Thame and Chipping Norton, as well as the villages scattered between them. Henley-on-Thames, in the south-east corner, is a frequent destination for summer weddings and regatta-season parties.

Our route into the county usually follows the M40 from the north or east, the A34 from Berkshire and Hampshire, or the A40 when the venue sits on the Cotswold side near Witney. Because we are a mobile service with no showroom, the booth comes to you wherever you are holding the event, and delivery and setup are part of the price rather than an extra line.

Cotswold barns, college halls and riverside rooms

Oxfordshire has a wider mix of venue styles than most counties. The western side is full of converted stone barns and farm venues with exposed beams and flagstone floors, which photograph beautifully and give a booth plenty of character to work with. Around Oxford there are college dining halls, hotels and town-hall style function rooms, while the Thames corridor through Henley and Abingdon brings boathouses, riverside hotels and marquees pitched on the lawn.

Village halls remain popular for birthdays, christenings and anniversary parties, and golf clubs between Oxford and Banbury host a steady run of corporate days and Christmas parties. Whatever the setting, we only need a level patch of floor, a standard socket and enough headroom, so almost any of these rooms will work.

Getting a booth into an Oxfordshire venue

Rural lanes are part of the job here. Many barn venues sit at the end of single-track roads with gravel drives, so we arrive in good time, unload close to the entrance and wheel the equipment in on flat trolleys. Uneven barn floors are fine as long as we can find a level spot of roughly two metres square for most booths. If your venue has stairs and no lift, let us know when booking so we can allow extra time and bring the right kit.

Setup takes about 45 to 60 minutes before the hire window opens, and that time is not counted as hire time. Each booth runs from a single 13A socket, except the Inflatable Booth which needs two. For marquee receptions we ask that the power supply is reliable and dedicated rather than shared with a hot-water urn or the band's amplifiers; where a generator is in use, please check with the hire company that it provides a steady 13A feed.

Booths that suit Oxfordshire events

The Magic Mirror is the one most Oxfordshire couples ask for. Its full-length frame looks right in a stone barn or a panelled hall, and the on-screen animations keep a queue entertained during the evening reception. For smaller rooms, or where budget matters, the LCD SlimPod squeezes into 1.5 metres by 2 metres and still produces two prints per session plus digital copies.

Retro Pod bookings have grown for vintage-themed weddings on the Cotswold edge, since the built-in printer keeps cables out of sight and the classic strip prints match a rustic styling. For Oxford balls and larger corporate parties the 360 Booth gives a slow-motion video moment that guests share straight away; we confirm its space and power requirements for your venue when we quote.

Weddings, balls, proms and office parties

Weddings make up the bulk of what we do in Oxfordshire, and the practical tip we pass on most often is to start the booth after the wedding breakfast and speeches, when guests are relaxed and the room has filled up for the evening. A guest book comes with every print booth, so the attendant can collect a copy of each strip alongside a message from the people in it.

Oxford's student balls, school proms in Abingdon and Didcot, and milestone birthdays in village halls all follow a similar pattern: a surge of guests all at once, then steady use through the night. Corporate clients at the science and business parks around Oxford and Bicester tend to book the booth with a branded overlay for Christmas parties and product launches, and the digital gallery is emailed over afterwards so marketing teams can use the images.

Good to know

Photo Booth Hire in Oxfordshire: Local FAQs

What do you need from the venue for parking and unloading?

A space to unload near the entrance for around twenty minutes is ideal; after that we move the vehicle to wherever the venue asks. For Oxford city-centre venues, please check whether a permit or timed access applies and tell us, so we can plan the arrival around it.

Can you set up in a marquee at a farm or garden wedding?

Yes, marquees are a regular part of our Oxfordshire bookings. We need a firm, level floor, a dry spot under cover and a reliable 13A socket within a few metres of the booth. If a generator is supplying the marquee, ask the hire company to confirm it gives a steady output.

Do you charge travel to venues in Oxfordshire?

Delivery and setup are included with every booking. If any travel contribution ever applies to a far-flung venue it is shown on the quote up front, so there are no surprises once the date is confirmed.

Will a booth fit into a college or historic room with restrictions?

Usually, yes. The LCD SlimPod and Retro Pod have the smallest footprints and need only one socket, which suits listed rooms with limited power. Tell us which room you have in mind and we will recommend the booth that fits the space, the doorway and the ceiling height.

Can the prints be styled to match a rustic Cotswold wedding?

Absolutely. Every booking includes a custom print template, and we design it around your colours, fonts and names. Kraft-paper tones, botanical borders and classic photo strips are all popular choices for barn weddings, and you approve the design before the day.
