Reading town centre has a busy one-way system and several pedestrianised streets, so for central venues we agree an unloading point in advance, usually a loading bay or the hotel's own delivery entrance, and move the vehicle to a car park once the kit is inside. Business parks and riverside hotels are far simpler, with car parks beside the function suite. Park and ride is not an option for a vehicle carrying a booth, so we always plan a route to the door.

Give us 45 to 60 minutes before the hire window to build the booth; that time is not charged. A single standard socket near the booth and a level floor are the only requirements. If the function room is upstairs, as it often is in older riverside pubs, say so when you book so the right booth is sent.

Reading's venue types

Weddings in Reading gravitate to the water: hotels and pubs on the Thames at Caversham and towards Pangbourne, and venues along the Kennet closer to town. Business-park conference centres and hotels around Theale and the M4 junctions host most of the corporate work, from product launches to Christmas parties. University venues on the edge of town are used for balls and alumni events, golf clubs around Wokingham handle weddings and proms, and village halls in the surrounding villages host birthdays and anniversaries.
