Why Corporate Events Need a Photo Booth
Corporate events live or die on whether people talk to each other and whether anyone remembers them a week later. A photo booth helps with both. Here is why we think it belongs on the plan for your next conference, awards night, launch or office Christmas party, and how to get the most out of it.

It breaks the ice without a facilitator
Put a photo booth near the bar at a networking drinks and watch what happens. Colleagues from different teams end up in the same shot, clients are pulled in by their hosts, and the props give everyone an excuse to talk to a stranger. No icebreaker exercise does that as quickly or with less awkwardness. The attendant does the organising, so the event team does not have to. If the room is large, position the booth where people naturally pause, such as beside the bar or on the route between the dinner tables and the terrace.
Every photo carries your brand
The print or digital overlay is designed around your identity: logo, event name, campaign colours and a hashtag or URL. Guests take that home, pin it to a desk or post it, and the brand goes with it. For a product launch the overlay can feature the product; for an awards night it can carry the category and the year. A custom animated overlay on a GIF booth does the same job in motion. It is subtle, welcome branding rather than a banner nobody looks at.
It produces content you can actually use
Professional event photography captures the stage and the speeches. The booth captures people enjoying themselves, which is the content internal comms and social teams actually want. Stills, GIFs, boomerangs and 360 video are delivered instantly to guests and collected for you afterwards, ready for the newsletter, the intranet or next year's invitation. If you plan to use images publicly, say so on the signage so attendees know, and give guests a simple way to opt out where that is appropriate.
It gives the evening a shape
Long dinners and awards ceremonies have dead time: the gap between courses, the wait for the results, the lull before the band. A booth soaks that up. Guests drift over, come back later with a different group and keep the energy in the room rather than in the smoking area. At an office Christmas party it is often the thing people remember and the reason the quieter team members end up in the photos. Timing matters: open the booth as guests arrive for drinks, pause it during the speeches if it shares the room, and run it again until the last hour.
Choosing the right booth for a corporate venue
Conference centres, hotel ballrooms and office atriums vary enormously, so match the booth to the space and the goal rather than picking the biggest one available. The pairings below are the ones we find work most often, though a conversation about the room usually settles it quickly.
Whichever you choose, insist on an attendant for the full hire. Corporate crowds are busy and an unstaffed booth quickly turns into a queue with nobody managing it. Ask for the supplier's public liability certificate too, as most venues will request it before the day.
- Networking drinks and brand activations: GIF booth, digital-only, smallest footprint
- Launches and milestone celebrations: 360 booth for shareable slow-motion video
- Awards nights and gala dinners: mirror booth with prints for every guest
- Office Christmas parties: Party Booth or Inflatable Booth for big groups
- Tight rooms and short setup windows: slim open-air pod on one socket
Practical points for event teams
Corporate venues come with rules, and a smooth day depends on sorting them in advance. Tell the supplier the loading bay location, any timed access window, whether there is a goods lift and who the on-site contact is. Agree where the booth will stand with the venue, ideally near the bar or in the flow between rooms rather than in a dead corner. If the event is in central London, check whether the venue needs vehicle details for the Congestion Charge zone. Book December dates early; Christmas parties fill the diary first.
Making it happen
A photo booth is one of the easier line items on a corporate event: one supplier, one quote, no run-up beyond approving a template. Packages start from £299, an £80 deposit secures the date and the balance is due one month before the event. We can invoice a purchasing team, send insurance documents straight to the venue and copy your events coordinator into every message. Send us the date, venue and expected numbers and we will quote within 24 hours.
