Photo Booth Hire in Central London

Central London venues are brilliant and demanding in equal measure: loading bays with time limits, goods lifts, no parking and rooms where every square metre counts. Our team hires photo booths into the City, Westminster and the West End every week, and we know how to make it painless. Attendant, delivery and setup are all included from £299.

Timed deliveries, goods lifts and the Congestion Charge

Almost no central London venue has on-site parking, so our first question is always about the loading bay. Most hotels, offices and halls have one, usually with a time limit and sometimes a booking system, and we unload, move the kit inside and shift the van before the limit runs out. Where a venue issues a vehicle registration in advance for a service road, we send it over as soon as the booking is confirmed.

The Congestion Charge and ULEZ both apply across the centre, and we absorb both as part of our free delivery. Goods lifts are the norm in hotels and office buildings, and they make the Magic Mirror, Party Booth and Inflatable Booth perfectly workable on upper floors; without a lift those three need ground-floor access, while the slim pods can be carried up stairs. Every booth we bring needs just one standard socket (the Inflatable needs two), and we allow 45 to 60 minutes to set up before your hire window begins, which we never bill as hire time.

From livery halls to rooftop bars

The centre packs an extraordinary range of venues into a few square miles. Livery halls in the City, grand hotels in Mayfair and Marylebone, members' clubs in St James's, galleries in Bloomsbury and Fitzrovia, rooftop bars in Soho and Shoreditch, converted railway arches and office atriums around King's Cross and the South Bank all host events we cover. Many are listed buildings with rules about what can touch the floor or walls, and our attendants work within them.

Room size is the common thread. Where a suburban hotel might offer a 300-capacity suite, a Covent Garden private dining room or a Holborn boardroom often has space for a booth measured in centimetres, so we ask for a floor plan or a quick photo of the corner you have in mind.

Booths that fit a city-centre room

The LCD SlimPod suits the centre better than anything else in our range. It is 36 centimetres wide, stands on 1.5m by 2m of floor, runs from a single plug and includes smart background removal, so a plain corner of a boardroom becomes any backdrop you like without a green screen. The GIF Booth uses the same slim hardware for digital-only events, which is exactly what agencies want for launches and press nights in Soho and Shoreditch.

The Retro Pod brings an inbuilt printer and a tidy footprint to venues that like classic photo-strip prints, while the Selfie Mirror Pod gives hotels and clubs a DSLR-quality mirror experience on a 2m by 2m patch of floor. The full Magic Mirror still books well for ballroom weddings in Mayfair and Westminster, where the room is large enough to show it off.

  • LCD SlimPod: narrowest footprint, most affordable, background removal built in
  • GIF Booth: digital-only, instant QR and email delivery, ideal for launches
  • Retro Pod: inbuilt printer, minimal cables, classic strip prints
  • Selfie Mirror Pod: DSLR mirror on 2m by 2m of floor
  • Magic Mirror: full-length showpiece for ballroom weddings

The districts we serve in the centre

Our Central London area covers the City of London and the City of Westminster along with the districts around them: Mayfair, Soho, Covent Garden, Holborn, Bloomsbury, Marylebone, Fitzrovia and King's Cross, plus the South Bank and Waterloo on the river and the Shoreditch edge of the East End. If your venue is inside the Congestion Charge zone or just outside it, this is the page for you.

Venues a little further out in Camden, Islington, Kensington or Southwark are covered by our neighbouring North, West and South London pages, though in practice the same team and the same vans look after all of them. Pricing does not change by postcode.

Corporate parties, weddings and launches in Zone 1

Corporate work dominates the centre: Christmas parties for firms in the City, summer socials, awards dinners, conference drinks and product launches. For these, a branded overlay with the company logo is included as standard, and digital delivery by email or QR keeps the photos flowing to social channels the same night. Book December dates by early autumn, because the good Thursday and Friday slots go quickly.

Weddings in central London tend to be hotel or town hall affairs with evening receptions in a private room, and proms from central and inner-London schools often end up in hotel function suites too. Birthday parties fill private dining rooms and bar hire spaces, where a slim pod does the job without blocking the route to the bar. Whichever it is, send us the venue's supplier guidelines and we will confirm the booth fits before you pay the deposit.

Good to know

Photo Booth Hire in Central London: Local FAQs

There is no parking at our venue at all. How do you unload?

We use the loading bay or service road, which nearly every central venue has, unload the kit onto trolleys, and move the van before the time limit runs out. If the venue needs a registration or a booked slot, we arrange it as soon as the booking is confirmed.

The function room is up two flights with no lift. Which booths still work?

The LCD SlimPod, GIF Booth, Retro Pod and Selfie Mirror Pod are all light enough to carry up stairs. The Magic Mirror, Party Booth and Inflatable Booth need a goods lift or a ground-floor room, so if your venue has neither, one of the slim pods is the right choice.

Is there a travel charge for central London?

No. Delivery, setup and pack-down are included wherever you are in the centre. If a travel contribution ever applies to a far-flung venue, it is shown on the quote up front, and for a central London address that is not something you need to think about.

Do you deal with the Congestion Charge and ULEZ?

Yes. Both are handled and paid by us as part of free delivery. We plan the route and the vehicle for the day, and there is nothing for you to arrange or pay separately, whatever time the event starts or finishes.

Can a booth fit in a small private dining room?

Usually. The LCD SlimPod and GIF Booth need just 1.5m by 2m of floor and are 36cm wide, so a spare corner near a socket is enough. Send a photo or floor plan and we will confirm which booth fits before you pay the deposit.

The venue wants our insurance documents before letting suppliers in. Can you send them?

Of course. We hold public liability insurance and can email the certificate to your venue or planner on request. City hotels and livery halls often ask for it alongside a vehicle registration, so request it early and we will send both together.
